Why We Built Omegla
When the classic random chat sites started disappearing, they left a strange gap. Millions of people still wanted to meet strangers online. They wanted to talk, face to face, right now, not scroll past photos.
What replaced them mostly got it wrong: heavy sign-up flows, profiles to maintain, algorithms deciding who you are allowed to meet. The spontaneity, the part people loved, was gone.
So we built Omegla to put it back. Open the page, get matched in seconds, talk. If you are curious about the mechanics, how Omegla works takes about a minute to read, because there is not much to explain. That is the point.
We are a small team, and we use Omegla ourselves, which means every rough edge bothers us personally before it ever bothers you. When matching feels slow, we feel it.
